dance club

Episode #28 “Dance Club” is online! It was great to work again with Zak Orth, who’s made me laugh since the days of Wet Hot American Summer and the Stella Shorts. I met Lake Bell recently on the set of Children’s Hospital - she’s one of the funniest, sexiest actresses around.

And of course our regulars: Matt Ballard, A. D. Miles and Zandy Hartig (AKA my real life wife).

The next episode, “Animator” is coming June 4th. Stay tuned…!

I care about “Wet Hot” fans

I got an email from a guy who’s going to be attending Camp Towanda this summer, and he wanted to know where specifically each scene in Wet Hot American Summer was shot. My first gut answer: “Fuck off.” But then here I was this morning on the toilet, trying to get my mind off the slow steady push happening below, so I made this map from memory. I worked too hard on it to just give to one person.

Dom DeLuise 1933-2009

May 5, 2009 | General

I always LOVED Dom DeLuise - I knew that if he was on screen I would be guaranteed to be laughing. He was a real hero to me. My favorite thing he ever did, weirdly was the blooper reel from “CANNONBALL RUN”:

We all loved this so much, that back in 1995 we recreated this blooper reel, basically shot for shot:

That’s Joe Lo Truglio as Burt Reynolds, Ben Garant as Dom DeLuise, Tom Lennon as Dean Martin, and me as “The Doctor”

My Home Town!

April 20, 2009 | General

I spent the first eighteen years of my life in Cleveland, Ohio. It’s a great city. But when people ask me about it, I often have trouble articulating exactly what makes my home town so special. Finally there’s a short video that expresses the spirit of America’s North Coast better than I ever could:
