UGH! The Terminal should be #7 and Charlie Wilson’s War should totally be #8. This list is a bunch of bullshit.

How come there aren’t any horror movies on the list?
By Jennifer Hollywood on Dec 28, 2009
as long as it is the American version of Insomnia.
By Chris Hare on Dec 28, 2009
No MIDDLE 10 list is complete without Beyond the Sea.

Let’s do this one at a time.
10. Okay. I do love those mexican folklore flashbacks alot. The narrative is cool. Gandolphini as the gay “handyman” = hilarious. Valid.
9.Righteous. This does seem to fly by peoples radar. Robin Williams scares the ever loving dick off of me to the point I don’t know whether I want to shave him, shut off the TV, or just keep watching. Luckily, brave ain’t just a noun for me [{:)}] so I usually choose the third option. Valid.
8. Great Rom-Com. Hard Genre To pull off. Tom Hanks is the ultimate Eastern European. What can’t that guy fucking do? Romantic, funny, and true. Valid.
7. One of my favorite movies of the new century hands down. No question. Back-room politics fascinate me to no end. PSH is on fucking point as usual. Him making a move on Julia Roberts @ the bar = smiley face. VALID.
6. Never saw it. Always wanted to though. Heard they shot a couple scenes over @ the REAL adventureland. That’s part of me stomping grounds, so i did always want to check it out. The camera loves Barrymore and Grant, and the story of a blossoming romance as well juxtaposed with the creative collaboration was proabably very interesting on some level. UNKNOWN!!!
5. Fuck yeah. Ben Foster is a damn fine actor, on point and good to smoke a joint 2. VALID.
4.???I submit 3 entries for 4th place. WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER, THE BAXTER, or ROLE MODELS. Although I heard the people who make those movies do naughty things in the middle of the night.
3. Wheel of Morality turn turn turn. Tell us the lessons that we should learn. VALID.
2.lol. somehow, i missed this. i have no clue how. i was proabably watching Dying Fetus @ The Downtown. UNCERTAINTTEE
1.Got two of the top dogs in this movie. William Hurt and Richard Jenkins. Amanda Peet is always a delight. VALID.
Well, there’s my comment. keep on rocking in the free world, brother. hit me up sometime. I miss US. or maybe I miss the IDEA of US.

Tyler Durden Lives.

I am disheartened you left Die Another Day off the list.

Having Runaway Jury and Baby Mama tie at #3 is a copout. C’mon, man! You’re giving us the definitive ten neither good nor bad, might-watch-it-again-if-nothing’s-on-and-nobody’s-doing-anything movies of the decade. This is for our posterity’s sake!
By Kyle on Dec 28, 2009
I’d like to nominate 2003′s “The Missing.”
By Andrew James on Dec 28, 2009
It’s hard to comment on a list of movies that are so mediocre, but I just wanted to be the first because that’s no longer the best nor worst place to be.
By Jake on Dec 28, 2009
I forgot than 9 of these existed.
By Stuart on Dec 28, 2009
The banality of these picks are outstanding!

i would have switched “music & lyrics” with “3:10 to yuma” but that’s just me. otherwise i agree, these are the 10 neither best nor worst movies of the decade.
By rob moses on Dec 28, 2009
i have to disagree…”The Terminal” is the most disgustingly vile film of the 00s. How its not unanimously considered the worst film of the decade is shocking to me
Lets even ignore the stupid things in the movie. Ignore Tom Hanks performance as Balki from “Perfect Stranger”. Ignore that the end he was just trying to get an autograph from a jazz singer. Lets look deeper
The film, set in a fictional airport where ever shot has a product placement, is the perfect analogy for the W. Bush administration. In the film, Tom Hanks character NEVER questions authority, always does exactly what hes told from the government authority, Stanley Tucci. As he never questions authority, as he always does as hes told, success always comes his way. Lesson – never question the government or authority and you will get what you want. Absolutely disgusting propaganda.
The film, to me, is not only the worst film of the 00s but it represents the worst of the 00s. Offensive and vile. Not the “so-so” film of the decade but by far the worst.
btw, “Wet Hot American Summer” is the best comedy of the ’00s. You are a genius

Where’s number 4? My vote- The Uninvited.

I suppose my ADD is kicking in and I cannot accept that TIE!

bleh, they’re all terrible.
By kristina on Dec 28, 2009
Music & Lyrics was awful. It was like a really long coffee commercial.
By Larry on Dec 29, 2009
I’m not sure, I think Insomnia and 3:10 to Yuma might be a little too good to be right in the middle, and Blue Crush might be a little too bad, but perhaps this is just nit-picking. Good list overall.
By Jonathan on Dec 29, 2009
Nerd.
By Rohit on Dec 29, 2009
3:10 to Yuma is better than average, me thinks.
By Jason S. on Dec 30, 2009
Music & Lyrics is definitely one of the worst. Not a laugh in sight. A comedy wasteland.
By James Fergin on Dec 30, 2009
Somehow, I thought every movie in the middle should star Clive Owen.
By Mike G on Dec 30, 2009
I like the tie, but I would have chosen “The Family Stone” and “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”
