A Great Weekend…

…at the San Francisco Sketchfest. It was like old friends gathering together for the first time in years, like for a funeral, but no casket. The State’s two live shows were a blast, then a boisterous screening of Wet Hot American Summer later that night, a panel the next day with The State, and finally a Stella nightclub variety show at Cobb’s last night. Exhausting and fun! Thanks to everyone who came out, and I’ll post pictures soon. Here’s a nice blog write-up from SF Weekly.

Thanks for a great show and thanks for signing my ticket stub from the retrospective. You guys haven’t missed a beat. Your skits from Saturday’s show could have been cut-and-pasted right into the original The State shows and no one would noticed. It was a thrill to watch you guys performance again! I only wish you could do this every year.

Agreed Mike; thank you for everything David (and the rest of the state). I appreciated you let me taking a few photos even though you only had time for one. I’ve been a long time fan and traveling from Virginia was well worth it. I hope you all do tour and in general are able to continue working together.
P.S. I’d like to read the new group mission statement sometime – you projected it but no one really discussed it. Perhaps you could post it one day.

Thanks for coming out! It was really fun getting to see you in December and then again in January! Also, seeing everyone from The State was really cool. You guys have great chemistry. Thanks for the laughs!

I’m so jealous! Glad to hear everything went well in SF! Does this mean a new DVD? Anything?
