   My name is David Croom. We met very briefly after the UCB show on Saturday. I told you I was graduating from the USC film school this spring and expressed my tremendous interest in coming to work with you in any capacity thereafter.    I apologize if it’s weird to contact you through your blog, but it was the best way I knew and wanted to reach you while the event may still be fresh in your memory. I’d really love to be able to contact you as I get closer to graduation and to send you a copy of a 16mm comedy short film I wrote and directed last semester entitled, The Donner Party.

   Thank you so much. Your films, short and long, have been very impactful for me. Again, I’ll be graduating in under a year and it would be a dream come true to work for someone who I have so much respect for. It was a thrill to see you, Joe and Ken at the theatre, especially when you weren’t billed as appearing.
