My Interview with Glenn Rildger

May 16, 2006 | General

I caught up with Glenn Rildger after his show last week at Bowery Bar. We talked about his career, his ideas on love, and his upcoming album Sick-o-fant Stream.

DW:    Hi Glenn - whatup, Jackass?!

GR:    Whatup DAWG.

DW:    Whatup wit-choo?

GR:    Nada mucho.  What about wit-choo?

DW:    Nada mucho.  So how did you think your show went tonight?

GR:    Pretty good.   The audience was into it.

DW:    SHWEET!!! SHWING!! Do you remember “Wayne’s World”

GR:    Oh  my god - the BEST.  Party time, excellent!!

DW:    Speaking of, let’s talk about partying.

GR:    I know what you mean, a couple of guys, and some cokes.

DW:    No, no, I’m talking about SERIOUS PARTYING.  Like just to give you an idea:  Four, five guys, out till maybe 2 AM, no joke.  Many beers.  I’m talking HANGOVER CITY the next morning.  This, my friend is Partying, with a capital P.

GR:    I hear ya.

DW:    How did you get started?

GR:    I guess I always loved music - my father would always play us the Fat Boys, Pump Boys and Dinettes, Griffin Richardson, Rihanna.  When I was in high school, I played in the marching band.  I guess I never stopped marching.  Although now it’s to the beat of a different drummer:  Brian Stone.

DW:    He’s your drummer?

GR:   Currently, yes.

DW:   Well we here at davidwain.com look forward to all of your upcoming projects.  Where can we learn more about what you’re up to?

GR:   Just check out my website.

DW:   Thanks Glenn!

GR:   Any time.

DW:   Bye, now.

GR:   Bye.
